Tetrafunctional Azomethine-Type Epoxy TGEPTA
MTC’s Tetrafunctional Azomethine-Type Epoxy TGEPTA is a multifunctional epoxy compound incorporating a rigid mesogenic structure. It can be cured with amine- or phenol-based curing agents, producing epoxy networks with high strength, excellent heat resistance, high thermal conductivity, and low coefficient of thermal expansion (low CTE).
Since TGEPTA contains an azomethine (Schiff base)–type mesogenic unit along with four epoxy groups, the cured resin exhibits Tg-less behavior, showing no distinct glass transition temperature (Tg) peak. As a result, the material demonstrates stable dimensional behavior without abrupt changes in thermal expansion or mechanical strength under high-temperature or heating conditions.
With these characteristics, Tetrafunctional Azomethine-Type Epoxy TGEPTA is highly suitable for advanced heat-management applications, including electronic materials, thermal interface components, and semiconductor encapsulation materials, where high heat resistance, heat dissipation, and dimensional stability are increasingly required.
JMTC also offers a broad lineup of epoxy materials, including DCPD-DE, a difunctional cycloaliphatic epoxy, and BPTE, a trifunctional biphenyl-type epoxy resin.
